On 23rd July 2018 Prominent purchased RB Agency. A year on, managing director Helen Rudd looks back on the first year of business since one became two.
I can’t remember a year ever going so fast.
A year ago today, I signed the papers which saw Prominent taking over media buying agency RB Agency with the aim of stabilising the business and offering a more integrated service to our clients.
And what a year it has been!
We have had good news and bad, we’ve had client wins and award wins, we’ve had a redecoration and too many milestones to mention. Both businesses have welcomed new team members and we’ve had endless laughs and fun along the way. We are one big happy family and the move couldn’t have gone any better.
Clients have enjoyed a better service from us; a more joined up approach, knowing they can come to us for PR and design, SEO and advertising. And it has paid dividends, not just for the clients but for the team, who have been able to upskill, sharing their skills with colleagues and learning new skills too.
From a financial perspective, at the end of August, RB is on track to post a 640% increase in profit from last year.
Prominent too has grown, posting a 55% increase in turnover in the last year.
But it has been more than just the figures.
New working relationships have been created and friendships have been created. New clients have brought new challenges, but everyone has risen to the occasion and I am humbled and proud to lead all of them.
So, here’s to year two being just as good!
