We are absolutely thrilled that our work promoting the wonderful town of Woodbridge has been recognised with a raft of award wins.
Last year, we dazzled the judges of the national Great British High Street awards with an incredible award entry celebrating the diverse character of the high street and the community spirit of those who live and work in the area.
And now our work creating a fabulous street party that propelled the Thoroughfare to win the Highly Commended title has led to two further awards at the Chartered Institute of PR (CIPR) awards and another at the East Suffolk Business and Community Awards 2019.
Prominent – in conjunction with Choose Woodbridge - won gold in the Travel, Leisure or Tourism Campaign category and silver in the Best Event category at the CIPR awards.
They then scooped the Encouraging Tourism award in the regional accolades.
James Lightfoot, chairman of Choose Woodbridge, said: “The work Prominent put in to putting our town on the map has been incredible. In the time we have been working together we have had national recognition for Woodbridge and created key messaging which has given 184 business members unity.
“Prominent have recognised all the unique attributes our town and community possess and have been able to sing about them in a way we never could – giving us a collective voice and allowing us to really celebrate the many things we are proud of.”
Helen Rudd, managing director of Prominent, said: “We absolutely adore working with Choose Woodbridge and it has been utterly thrilling to see that work recognised by so many award schemes.
“I am immensely proud of my team. They pulled together a fantastic community event for Woodbridge with very little notice and the event was so spectacular Woodbridge was singled out as the only town in the whole of the UK which knew how to throw a proper party.”
